a new tool for high schoolers and iGEMers

This website serves as an educational tool created by the Paris Bettencourt iGEM team to help high school students to get involved in synthetic biology and iGEM.

In order to do this, we have created several video tutorials, ranging from topics such as fundamental facts of synthetic biology, developing ideas for an iGEM project, attaining funds and mentorship from local resources, bioethics, and more. These tools can be found in the tab labeled "MOOC" and each subtopic under the "MOOC" tab will lead to several videos in an outside web tool called Genius. On Genius, you will find YouTube videos as well as the script related to each video. This script is annotated with further resources, such as Wikipedia pages, additional tutorials, etc. Not only can you, as the user, comment on each of these annotations, but you can add some of your own, making each page and each tutorial a dynamic tool which is enhanced by not only us, but you as well!

Along with the video tutorials, we have also created a directory, which can be found under the "Network" tab. Through this, you can find people in your regional areas who are also involved in science, synthetic biology and iGEM. You can use this tool to network with such people in order to enhance your project ideas, find sources for funding, and more.

If you have any questions or you are unsure of how to access or use any part of this webpage, do not hesitate to contact us via the "Contact" tab in the main menu.

As with any project in science and in synthetic biology, the sky is the limit! Let's get iGEMing!
